#Inkscape #Hackfest at #LibreGraphics in Saarbrücken, #Germany, May 27-29

There will be a big push to fix priority bugs and conduct testing with respect to the 1.0 release. A push to recruit new developers will also be discussed

The first time I tried Linux out was with @kde with or even but since then somehow I drifted away (either from Linux altogether) or to a more Gnome based distros these last years. But let me tell you how well impressed I am with the current . After trying it out on Neon and Kubuntu live flash drive it's now my default DE! I urge you to try it out as well. Plus it made my battery last an extra hour or so.

@inkscape @conservancy @Framasoft @OpenCulture so I end up, after a couple of failed attempts and frustration with wiki commons, choosing @github. Expect to see future commits on github.com/portucalio Not only assets will be there but it's my intent to write step by step my processes in the hopes to deliver a kind of recipe for creating and printing your own calendar using

so and after removing my wiki commons page (supposedly due to spam?!) : commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Por

It's a work in progress though still many assets to add

I have have been having a blast with (portucalio.com/blog/about/) and I'm very thankful for all th private messages/emails :)

On 25th of this month, April, we celebrate the Day (which commemorates the revolution) and so in that spirit I have been thinking to release all the illustrations and possibly layouts (need to review them first though) under some license. Any thoughts? And where would be the best place to host the files?

How does one go about commissioning or licensing work from creative folks (musicians, digital artists) in a way that is fair to both? Any handy resources or guides? I'd rather not go to massive content-farm-factory websites.

For what it's worth I'm in need of some music for a technically minded #ActivityPub podcast idea I have floating in my head and what better way to support the Fediverse than to actually look at paying for a license for some intro music and B roll music.

Have you been thinking about making an app for the Librem 5 but didn't know where to start?

I wrote a tutorial blog post for getting started with designing apps for GNOME mobile (and desktop too).

We have created a Patreon account for Akira as the campaign will never reach its goal. The more progress we make, the more money we get, the more time we spend on it patreon.com/akiraux
We will also set up a bounty system and other alternatives to Patreon later. #akiraux

bruh I just learned that #Wallabag allows for publicly shared URIs! I'm just going to share those links versus direct ones for the sake of readability

We're missing documentation on how to run Mastodon as a hidden (e.g. #Tor) service. If you know how to do it, please either submit it or tell me so I can write it down

I never lived on a college campus, but I had lots of friends that did. I spent a large portion of my late teens and early 20s in the Public Spaces that college campuses provide. Every building, it seemed, had a huge ground floor with tables and electricity and wifi, and some of them also had free coffee.

I imagine that this is what it would be like if we made libraries more focused on being community spaces, gave them longer hours, and encouraged socialization or events in the evenings.
