Hey there lazyweb, I'm looking for recommendations for a component for a web app.

I have a strong preference for something implemented with vanilla . I don't want to weigh the page down with a runtime (so nothing built with React, Angular, jQuery, etc.).

I plan to incorporate it into 's admin interface. is the first thing I stumbled across, if anyone has any experience with that.

quilljs.com

Boosts appreciated.

Update: Sir Trevor might also be a good candidate. The block-oriented input seems like a good paradigm for my needs, plus there's already a app for it.

@darth_mall Would CKeditor work for you? That's what the CMS I use has for editing text.

@drwho I will check it out. Thanks for the recommendation! 🙏🏻

@darth_mall I've used Trix and I specially like how it allows to display input the very same way it'd be displayed when published

trix-editor.org

@darth_mall not sure if someone's already suggested it but I've used TinyMCE, it doesn't require any extra libraries.

@InspectorCaracal ah, right! That’s the big one that I always forget the name of. Thanks.

@darth_mall at work (Tutanota) we use Squire and it's very flexible and nice. It's also used in Fastmail and Proton so you can rely on it

@charlag I use both Fastmail and Proton, so I will check it out. Thanks!
